I've been hearing some interesting comments regarding Friday Night Lights and the Open...
"I miss Friday Night Lights, that was the best!"
"I didn't think it would be that much fun!"
"The Open pushed me to be a better athlete this year."
What was it about Friday Night Lights that had you showing up at the gym to exercise on a Friday night, 5 weeks in a row? What was it about the Open that made you dig deeper than you knew possible?
Was it the fun themes, posters and music? Was it the competitive element that really got you fired up? Or maybe it was the simple opportunity to test our fitness, with the help of friends making sure you gave it your absolute all..
If you enjoyed Friday Night Lights, CrossFit Fargo hosts something similar you might be interested in.
This week we kick off The Dakota Games online qualifier. It is a total of 4 workouts that are completed over 2 weeks. Just like Friday Night Lights, there are scaled options and all levels can compete.
The best part about Dakota Games, is that after the qualifier is over, athletes actually get to compete LIVE with other athletes around the region.
The 3rd Annual Dakota Games competition event is June 25 & 26 at Veteran's Memorial Arena in West Fargo. Scaled, Intermediate, Rx and Masters athletes do their workouts on a huge competition floor surrounded by their friends cheering them on. The winners in each division get big prizes, and EVERYONE has a blast meeting Crossfitters from all over.
The first step is to sign up and compete in the online qualifier to get placed in a division for the on-site event. Visit www.thedakotagames.com to register!
Week 1 workouts are released at 5pm THIS Tuesday 4/12, so don't delay! Athletes have until Sunday 4/17 at 7pm to register for the qualifier and submit scores for Week 1.
